Gastro Esophageal Reflex disease (GERD) also known as Acid Reflux is a common disease which seriously affects more than 20% of population. GERD is considered to be a major cause for asthma, throat inflammation and other lung problems. Under extreme conditions it can damage esophagus and can even lead to esophageal cancer.
